Combined
Defence Service (CDS) Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service
Commission twice in a year. Recruitment to the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy are
strictly based on the performance in CDS exam. Only unmarried graduates are
permitted to attend the exam and are usually conducted in February and November
respectively.
